Accessibility Statement

Last updated: October 2026

We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, magnifiers or keyboards, and people who find small text or complicated pages hard to read. Many of the people who visit our site are looking for care for an older relative, and some are older themselves.

The standard we work to

This website has been designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What you should be able to do

- Read every page on a phone, tablet or computer without scrolling sideways
- Zoom in up to 400% without text disappearing off the screen
- Move around the whole site using only a keyboard, with a clear outline showing where you are
- Use the site with a screen reader
- Read text that has enough contrast against its background
- Find a written description of every photograph that carries meaning
- Turn off movement: if "reduce motion" is switched on in your device settings, sections no longer slide into view, and only a gentle fade remains
- Tap our phone number to call us
- Use our enquiry form with a screen reader: every question is labelled, and we use drop-down lists rather than buttons that some screen readers struggle with

How we tested this website

This website was tested by Elizabeth Silva Digital in October 2026, using keyboard-only navigation, the NVDA screen reader with Google Chrome, zoom up to 400%, checks at phone, tablet and desktop widths, and automated checks of headings, image descriptions and colour contrast.

Keeping it accessible

We check the website whenever we make changes, and we will review this statement at least once a year.
