VALUES & MISSION

Our values and mission

We care for every resident as we would care for our own family. Our values are respect, dignity, individuality and compassion. These guide everything we do and shape the warm, homely environment we create.

Our four values

Respect

Residents have a real say in how the home is run. At our weekly residents’ meeting they choose the activities and help shape the menu, and we act on what they tell us.

Dignity

We help people stay as independent as they can. Crockery is chosen to stand out against the tablecloths so it is easy to see, adapted cutlery is there for anyone who needs it, and those who can manage the stairs are encouraged to use them.

Individuality

Before anyone moves in, we learn about the person: their life, their family, what they enjoy and how they like things done. It all goes into a care plan written with them and kept up to date.

Compassion

Our carers know each resident well, so they notice when someone is not quite themselves, sometimes before the person does.

Our mission

To care for each person as we would care for our own family.

What others say

“Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are very nice and very obliging.”
A resident, quoted in our Care Inspectorate Wales inspection report, November 2025

“It’s a kind and caring place full of lovely staff. My dad benefits from being in a small place with a low turnover of staff.”
A family member, quoted in the same report
